Tribler opens as normal with a prompt to add the clicked file with Tribler not running, so i just feel that some conditions fails to trigger and it tries to open a GUI or something, which fails because of another instance is already running.
Tribler cant download torrent#
I'd go as far as to say, Tribler might be trying to make it's GUI, instead of doing whatever that it's supposed to do when there already is an instance running? The running instance doesn't get any prompt to add the torrent file i clicked. pyd file as suggested, made the window only flicker for an instant. torrent file for Tribler 7.3-beta1, and i got a white window myself. So possibly, just delay they creation til you know you want to run a proper instance/GUI.Īlso, i tested quickly with opening a. I'm assuming you get that many icons because you create one every time someone tries to open.

Windows is lazy with cleanup, so it doesn't usually remove icons until the user hovers them, so i wouldn't really put it as a bug unless the icons don't go away when they mouse hover them. You mean, they remain even after Tribler should have closed? In previous builds of Tribler a new Tribler windows was opened and the download dialog was shown in that new window and it stayed active showing a duplicate Tribler windows, until I stopped it, in the meantime the orginal tribler windows would continued running.

Remember this is Windbuild 18362, so it might also be this Windows build!!! a new Tribler task is started, because another entry appears on my taskbar, when I click fast enough a white screen is shown with the title "tribler", it disappears, hence the error and the download is not started. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Tribler and this did not help.Below the message from the app log that appears when I select a magnet link. Though clicking to view the contents of a channel displays a "Loading, please wait." screen. In the Channels pane, there is a large list of "channels" so as far as I can tell, at least that part is working. Tribler appears to be downloading something, or perhaps it's just normal background traffic for the application, but it says I'm getting some download traffic, no upload traffic, "Port is working" and there is some information when I hover over the "Person connected" icon. When I try to search for anything, the little progress bar on the search button goes to completion, but the Results pane always says "Loading, please wait." In Downloads, pane it also says "Loading, please wait." Trying to reopen a download Tribler was doing prior to this results in a message: "Duplicate download/You are already downloading this torrent, see the Downloads section." After that was done, the machine booted up fine and all the applications I've used thus far were working properly, with the exception of Tribler. Upon rebooting, Windows forced an automatic repair which failed and subsequently I opted to revert to an earlier state. At this point, the whole OS became unresponsive for a short bit before blue screening with a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error. Trying to close/kill the application, first by the dialogue that Windows pops up, and after that failed, by using the Task Manager to attempt to kill the process itself. Its performance was fine for a while, but leaving it open, eventually the application became sluggish and eventually froze.
